A bit of history
The first meeting, held December 4, 1990 at Minaker's Flower Centre
in Kingston, saw twenty-five like minded British car enthusiasts
join together to form the Boot'n Bonnet Car Club.
Now, over 25 years later, membership has risen to over
200. While the majority of our members come from South Eastern Ontario,
membership is spreading to Quebec in the East, the US in the South,
as well as throughout Ontario.
We publish a quarterly newsletter, The
Spanner, reporting on our club's events, other organization's
events our members have attended, technical tips, classified ads
and more.
British car ownership is not a prerequisite for membership in the
Boot'n Bonnet Car Club, just an interest in the hobby
and lots of enthusiasm! We invite you to visit us at one of our
meetings or events. You will not be disappointed. You may even find
you want to join us.
Meetings
The membership of the Boot'n Bonnet Car Club spans
a large geographic area. Hence, two meetings are held each month
for the convenience of members and visitors: one in the Kingston
area and one in the Quinte area. Guests are always welcome at our
meetings. We generally gather around 5:00 PM for dinner with the
meeting starting at 6:30 PM.
Kingston meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month
at Denny's Restaurant located at Division Street and Highway 401.
Quinte meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month at the
Northway Restaurant, 205 North Front Street in
Belleville.
See Events for specific dates.
Membership
Boot'n Bonnet Car Club membership dues are $30.00
per year. Included in the annual dues are: a windshield decal, a
subscription to The Spanner
(published quarterly), the Redbook (published in the Spring), and
the membership listing (published in the Fall).
